How do I care for my flowers?

Now that you have your beauties here are a few tips to keeping them fresh longer. :)
~First start with a clean vase and water.
~Cut the end of the stems at an angle. This will allow the stem to take in more water.
~Remove any leaves from the water.
~Change the water every 2 days.

How far are you from Charlotte?

Our farm is located in Unionville, NC. We are about a 40 minute drive from downtown Charlotte.

How big is your farm?

We have about 15 acres here at Pocket of Poppies. There is about 10 acres of usable field space and the other 5 is wooded.

What is blooming?

Every season there are different flowers blooming and each season we do succession planting so there are blooms all season. There may be empty beds as we take out spent flowers and start new seedlings.

Can we pick Dahlias?

Dahlias are slow to bloom so they will be in their "prime" late summer. But there should be some blooming in midsummer.

Can Photographers use the farm for a photo session?

We love for photographers to take pics at the farm but will have certain days and hours we will be offering this. It will depend on when our wildflower fields and sunflower field will be ready in the spring and summer. We will make sure to advertise it in advance. :)
